10 Easy Team Building Activities For Your Office | Part 2
Yesterday, we covered the first five easy team building activities and here are the remaining five. Hopefully your workplace finds these activities to be beneficial. Again, these are ones that I think are the best for team building, and the easiest to implement.
6. Talk To A New Employee
The best thing you can do to make your team productive is to onboard new employees as quickly and as effectively as possible. This is a great team building activity because everyone on the team is encouraged to welcome the new employee.
This is important to remember, it’s not only the HR managers responsibility to onboard a new employee. Everyone needs to be a part of it. You’ll feel like a better person when you’re being nicer to the new employee. Remember that new employees are scared and nervous, and are still learning how to adapt to the new environment.
7. Have A Brainstorm Session
A great brainstorm session is both fun, and important. I don’t think companies do this enough, because they view it as a timewaster, and just chit-chat, but the greatest ideas come from discussion. Getting the team together, and brainstorming about new ways to improve the business is an amazing team building activity.
Feel free to order some good food (avoid the pizza for once!) to make the brainstorm session more fun and relaxed.
8. Ask For Feedback
Another activity from our productivity category, asking your colleagues for feedback is great for team building.
It’s important that everyone on the team is on the same page, and as productive as they possibly can be. Don’t be scared or intimidated to ask for feedback, we can all use constructive criticism to improve ourselves. Use feedback as a way to advance your career.
9. Workout Together
This team building activity is from your wellness initiatives. It’s important that your employees are healthy, so promoting wellness initiatives is a good idea.
When you workout, one of the biggest tips that you’ll hear from a trainer is to find a workout buddy. Workout buddies help keep each other motivated, and spot each other when necessary. It’s such a cool idea to have a co-worker be your workout buddy because then you can become even closer friends.
10. Have Breakfast With Your Team
Again, this would come from your wellness initiatives, and is a very important one.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and making sure it’s a healthy breakfast will give you the energy you need for the work day ahead. Employees should ideally eat together, and share tips and tricks on how to be healthier.
